LED Down Lights
Down lights mounted under cabients ensure that light shines directly down onto the worktop without creating shadows. LED (light emitting diode) is a solid state device and does not require the heating of a filament: electricity is passed through a chemical compound that generates light and signifies a cool operating temperature. LED lights are an energy efficient alternative to halogen lights - a 1.4W LED lamp provides the equivalent light output to that of a 15W halogen. LED lights have a long life and are therefore low maintenance. Different coloured LEDs are available making a variety of lighting effects possible.
