Dust Extraction
Dust comes with the job, but choosing the right extractor can make all the difference to how you work. Festool’s MIDI range gives you a choice of corded or cordless extraction, with L-Class and M-Class models to suit different types of dust and working environments.
If you’re working in the workshop or somewhere with easy access to mains power, the CTL and CTM MIDI models give you a straightforward corded setup. For site and installation work where power isn’t always close by, the CTLC and CTMC MIDI models run on batteries for a fully cordless setup.
Choosing the right dust class is just as important. Both L-Class and M-Class extractors can be used alongside power tools for jobs such as sawing, drilling and sanding - it’s the material you’re working with that determines which class you need. L-Class CTL and CTLC models are suited to lower-risk dusts, plus wood chips and shavings from raw timber. M-Class CTM and CTMC models can handle these too, but are also designed for finer and more hazardous dusts such as MDF, wood dust, plaster, cement, concrete and paint dust.
