The Festool DF 500 RQ-Set is a versatile 230V joining machine designed to make strong, accurate DOMINO joints quickly and with less measuring and marking. Four built-in stop pins make repeated positioning straightforward, while Festool's unique pendulum routing action creates precise elongated mortises for strong, twist-resistant joints. It's ideal for furniture making and joinery, from cabinet and frame construction to panel joints, mitres and thinner workpieces from 12mm.
The DF 500 works with DOMINO dowels from 4 x 20mm to 10 x 50mm, giving you plenty of flexibility for both smaller and more substantial joints. You can create a precise mortise for the first DOMINO, then use a wider mortise for the following dowels to give you some adjustment when bringing the workpieces together. Routing depths are preset to suit different dowel sizes, while the routing angle can be adjusted from 0° to 90° for mitre joints.
The RQ-Set also includes additional, trim and cross stops, giving you more options when positioning joints on narrow workpieces, edges and repeated applications. Connect the machine to a compatible Festool dust extractor to remove chips from the routed mortise as you work, helping maintain a clean and precise cut.
