The Festool ETSC 2 125 is a compact cordless eccentric sander for smoothing timber and getting surfaces ready for finishing. The 125mm sanding pad and 3.5mm sanding stroke make it a good all-round option for tables, doors, frames, steps and other smaller surfaces where you want a smooth, even finish.
Its low-profile design sits close to the surface, making the sander easy to control whether you're working flat or overhead. The integrated LED light ring shines across the surface as you sand, helping you spot uneven areas and see where a little more work is needed. The cordless design also gives you more freedom to move around as you work.
The brushless EC-TEC motor runs from Festool's 18V battery system, with the speed adjustable between 6,000 and 10,000 min⁻¹ to suit the material you're working on. A sanding pad brake also helps stop the pad spinning too quickly when the sander isn't on the surface.
For dust control, you can use the supplied long-life dust collection bag or connect the sander to a compatible Festool mobile dust extractor. The supplied protector also helps when you're sanding close to edges and adjoining surfaces.
