Due to low volume worldwide sales, Blum are discontinuing the current die-cast face frame hinge, the 33.3600 COMPACT hinge. Production of this hinge will cease in June 2022.

The replacement hinge for when a face frame application is required, will be the COMPACT 38B355AF22, a one-piece hinge and plate combined. The COMPACT 38B355AF22 only requires 11mm in depth for its boss hole, as opposed to the 13mm for the COMPACT 33.3600.

The key change between the 2 installations relates to where you drill on the cabinet. The graphic below can guide you through these differences by following the orange elements. 

The overlay situation is identical between the two variants, eg if the minimum distance for plate drilling is used they both give 35mm overlay. 

Note the 38B355AF22 comes with the mounting plate attached to the hinge.
