Rubio Monocoat Pre-Colour is a ready-to-use interior wood pre-treatment designed to create striking colour effects and contrasts before applying Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C.
Ideal for wooden furniture, stairs, floors and other interior surfaces, Pre-Colour gives you greater control over the final appearance of the wood while preserving its natural look and feel. Use it to create a more intense colour, add contrast or achieve a bespoke finish for customer projects.
Different Pre-Colour shades can also be mixed, giving you even more creative freedom when working with different wood types and design requirements.
For projects where you’re looking to lighten the wood, Arctic White creates a soft, lightened base tone, making it ideal for achieving pale, washed or Scandinavian-inspired finishes.

Application
Sand the surface scratch-free. Vacuum thoroughly and remove any remaining dust with cleaner. Wait until the surface is completely dry.
Stir the product thoroughly and regularly with a stirring stick. Apply Pre-Colour evenly and wipe out. Work in small areas to avoid overlapping.
Allow the surface to dry for 12 hours. The exact drying time depends on the wood type, moisture, temperature and ventilation.
Please note: This product is a pre-treatment and does not protect the wood. It must be combined with Oil Plus 2C for maximum protection.
